After the birth of a healthy baby, their toddlerhood physical development is natural. Internal systems are developed and are functional, like breathing and eating. Love, nourishment, and proper nutrition are needed for a toddler to grow into a healthy adult. Physical development occurs in various stages and is very essential to understand for the toddler to get all the important nutrition in all the stages. 2 months –  

If lying on tummy the baby starts to push up

4 months – 

Able to hold the head up without support

Can roll over from tummy to back 

Able to move hands and legs smoothly, can bring the hand to the mouth

Can swing at dangling toys 

6 months – 

Starts to sit with their own support

9 months –

What Role Does The Brain Play On Toddlerhood Physical Development?

Along with toddlerhood physical development, the brain of the child also grows and nurtures. The brain of the child is at 25% of its adult size, while it grows by age 5 it reaches 90% of its adult size. Early-life learnings and interactions help the child to form and maintain a connection with the different parts of the brain. These help in coordination with the brain and form stronger muscles. When an infant practices different movements, for example, reaching for an object, then it helps to maintain the connection between the brain cells and makes sense of the experience. Letting the toddler experience the world around you and with you and do new things is very important for the brain to grow.

Exposure to alcohol, drugs, family patterns, and genetic inheritance during prenatal development and care can have a bad influence on the child 

Certain problems like vision problems, digestive problems, respiratory problems, and feeding may result due to premature birth or low weight during birth.

Physical development in a toddler happens naturally and there is nothing to stress about a lot. If something very unnatural is seen then it is best to advise a child’s specialist as soon as possible. Physical development times and ways may vary from child to child.
